The meditation HERE by Andy Raine (Northumbria Community webpage) is powerful, especially in the context of the recent Kyrie Eleison song posting. The opening line is striking:
I am not here to pass judgement or point the finger at anyone.
We are seeking God’s mercy. While recognizing so many problems here on earth, avoiding the judgements or accusations and instead seeking justice through our positive actions seems a good goal.
To meet such goals requires energy and frequently a collaborative crew. Many of us find power in our worship/spiritual community(ies) and through the Holy Spirit. Andy’s line here resonates:
Let light spill out of heaven through my life,
May each of us feel that light spilling from our lives with index fingers pointed more towards justice and less against others!
