About two centuries ago, James Montgomery penned the words to the song Angels From the Realms of Glory. You can see much more about this song (and its author) HERE. This YouTube link has King’s College Choir of Cambridge singing this song.
The word “Angel” reminds many of us of that famous angel…. Clarence from the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” Here’s the initial meeting of Clarence and George and here’s the wonderful ending, including the lines “Please God, I want to live again” and “Every Time a Bell Rings an Angel Gets His Wings.”
POSSIBLE ACTIONS:
- Can you enjoy a little ‘wisdom of Clarence’ from someone in your life? [If you hear a bell ring maybe that person has earned their wings?]
- Is there an opportunity today for you to be a little angelic by “listening for” someone who may be a little troubled or discombobulated, the way Clarence listened for George in the movie?
Enjoy the day, filled with the Spirit!
