Advent brings wonderful reminders of Jesus, one of God’s physical examples of joy, peace, hope and love on earth.
Our family tradition for many years has been to go caroling before/after Christmas Eve worship. It’s a festive time for us as we visit senior living housing, Alzheimer’s units, homes of neighbors, homes of young families and anyone else we think of who might like to listen and/or join in the singing. It also lets us display those same characteristics in action and song – joy, peace, hope and love.
As we bring in another Christmas Day tomorrow, may we do so with songs in our hearts [and maybe expelled from our lungs? 🙂 ]
P.S. If you know of someone who may not be able to get out for a worship service, Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago has a streaming video of their 8:30 PM (Central Time) Christmas Eve service. Details HERE: http://www.fourthchurch.org/index.html
